Gary Kenzer Elected to Chicago Continuum of Care Board of Directors
Care for Friends' Executive Director Takes on new Homelessness Appointment

CHICAGO (October 26, 2016) Gary Kenzer, the Executive Director of Care for Friends, was elected to the Chicago Continuum of Care Board of Directors at their meeting on Wednesday October 19th. He will be filling the seat of At-Large Alternate member.
​
The Chicago CoC Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the vision and direction of the Chicago Continuum of Care and its homeless services delivery system. The Board is made up of service providers, people with lived experience, state agency representatives, city of Chicago representatives, and other key stakeholders interested and with a passion of ending homelessness in the city of Chicago.

“We are so pleased to see our Executive Director elected into this important role,” said JD Miller, President of the Board of Care For Friends. “In his first year with us, Gary has shown a strong commitment to connecting Chicago’s most vulnerable with the resources they need to achieve a better quality of life in Lincoln Park. We are looking forward to seeing him work with an expanded vision through the Chicago Continuum of Care.”
