Sleepout For Homelessness
At Care For Friends, we are connecting Chicago's most vulnerable with the resources they need to achieve a better quality of life. Last year:
50% of homeless who achieved permanent housing at our partner organization were first met at a Care For Friends meal.
Graduates of our education and job skills training partner program earned an average of $12.34/hour for 38 hours of work in jobs that lasted at least a year
Over 50% of guests seen in our health clinic now have a permanent medical home.
We launched an after-school program for 300 homeless youth who want to go to college - and partnered with DePaul University with the target of getting three enrolled next fall.
Our Sleepout for Homelessness helps support this long tradition of creating change in Chicago.
To keep this great work going, 70 sleepers will be staying in tents on the night of February 21st, raising money and awareness for the cause. In addition to making a donation, we'd love you to stop by 530 W. Fullerton to join them for any of the following events:
