Care For Friends traces its roots to the Democratic National Convention of 1968 hosted in Chicago, when Lincoln Park opened its doors to folks trying to flee the violence surrounding nearby protests. Through the next 55 years, hundreds of thousands of guests have benefitted from CFF's programs to connect Chicago's most vulnerable with housing, medical care and job training.
As Chicago prepares to host the DNC again in 2024, Care For Friends is set to launch an endowment that will secure these services perpetually in the future - in the new Community Center we will be opening next summer.
JOIN US FOR A CELEBRATION OF WHERE WE'VE BEEN AND WHERE WE'RE HEADED.
Passed appetizers and a tasting of Italian and California summer wines will provide a great backdrop to conversations with our Executive Director, Hope Pavich about next year's plans.
