Yoga For The Homeless
Gary Alexander has hosted Wednesday evening yoga session for years, donating a portion of those class fees to Care For Friends.
He's now offering a chance for you to practice yoga (in the privacy of your own home via Zoom), AND give back to the community at the same time - in a "pay what you want" model that will give 100% to support Chicago's homeless.
Whether you are new to yoga or have an existing practice, this gentle class will give you the benefits of increasing strength, flexibility, and peace of mind. It will also help you to practice the yoga concept of seva, a Sanskrit word connoting selfless service and the collective uplifting of the wider community through compassion and understanding.
All the proceeds from this donation-based class will go to Care for Friends. Give what you can by clicking the "Donate Securely Via Bloomerang" button below.
No need to pre-register. Simply follow the link above Gary's logo. Join a few minutes before 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1st.
For those who are new to Zoom, the meeting will open at 4:50 p.m so you can join early to work out any technical issues you might encounter.
Please contact Gary at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
